I have taught portrait painting in my studio since 1965. In addition to on-going classes in my studio, I travel extensively across the United States offering Portrait Seminars in a number of different locations. These workshops vary in length from 4 to 5 days. Class size is small and instruction is individualized.

At each workshop students can expect lecture and demonstrations on Day One. The remainder of the workshop consists of each student painting a portrait of their choosing.

I spend equal time instructing each student on their own painting, giving demonstrations and critique. From beginners to advanced artists, all are welcome and comfortable with my teaching style. Each student is met at his/her own level and encouraged to expand their abilities.
